I scored a centerline down the neck, marked lines and cut the headstock.

I'm starting with the neck here. As you can see, the edges are rough so to get them straight so I used the table saw. Later I took it for a ride on the belt sander.

Knowing I really want a Les Paul, my Dad gave me plans to the '59 Classic Les Paul and a pair of 57' Classic humbuckers (PAFs). The full guitar photo is what the plans describe, but I'm going to make minor modifications to suit my taste, one of which will be staining it green.
